The Son Quint golf course is located approximately 3 kilometers from Palma de Mallorca, in the municipality of Son Vida. It sits directly opposite the Son Muntaner golf course and, like both Son Muntaner and the Son Vida golf course, is part of the Arabella Golf group. The course was completed in 2007 by Spanish architect Ramon Espinosa and Kurt Rosenknecht, with Carlo Knauss serving as a consultant. Knauss is a former national golf coach and a presenter for live broadcasts of the US PGA Tour and the European Tour.
Son Quint is situated precisely between the Son Vida and Son Muntaner golf courses. The 18-hole, par-72 layout measures 5,929 meters from the yellow tees. To perform well on this moderately challenging course, players must maintain high levels of precision and concentration.
The first nine holes are hilly and wooded, framed by mature olive and pine trees. From the second nine, golfers can enjoy magnificent views across Mallorca. At the 17th hole—the highest point on the course—players are rewarded with a direct view of the cathedral.
To access the driving range, golfers must pass through a tunnel beneath the main road to reach the facility shared by the Son Muntaner and Son Quint clubs. This shared area is fully equipped for long-game practice, featuring 75 hitting bays, an approach area, bunkers with a green, an automatic ball dispenser, and a club-cleaning station.
For putting and pitching practice, players can use the facilities at the Son Vida golf course. The Son Quint clubhouse, meanwhile, offers something entirely new: an innovative dining concept provided by the King Kamehameha Group. This is the “K-Bar Restaurant Poolside by King Kamehameha,” a dining venue combining a bar and restaurant, complete with a large terrace. It is the only clubhouse that serves hot food until midnight and features its own swimming pool.
The Nike Green Grass Golf Store—the first of its kind in Europe—has been located within the clubhouse since March 2007, offering a diverse and unique selection of products for golfers. Naturally, the clubhouse also provides changing rooms equipped with showers.
