The residential areas of Bendinat, Illetas, and Portals Nous are located along the coast west of Palma. Illetas offers a lovely, small beach, followed by the exclusive Puerto Portals marina. Along the harbor promenade, visitors find a variety of trendy restaurants, shops, and cafés, where terraces offer views of numerous luxury yachts bobbing in the marina basin.
The “Golf Santa Ponsa” residential area—home to the three Santa Ponsa golf courses—is set amidst more than six kilometers of coastal scenery. Near the Nova Santa Ponsa development, in the town of El Toro, lies the redesigned Port Adriano marina, featuring a retail area designed by Philippe Starck.
Another highlight of the southwest is undoubtedly Port Andratx—a renowned natural harbor belonging to the municipality of Andratx—situated near the small offshore island of Dragonera.
