The Son Antem Golf Resort is located about a 20-minute drive from Palma de Mallorca. The resort encompasses two courses: Golf Son Antem East and Golf Son Antem West. Situated inland from the sparsely populated coastal region, it offers golfers stunning views of an impressive landscape. Designed by the architectural group “Seriegolf” and built in 1994, the course spans 6,325 meters. It is set within what was once a hunting ground—an area that remains home to a variety of wildlife today.
Golf Son Antem East is an 18-hole, par-72 course well-suited for both beginners and intermediate players. The round begins with straightforward holes, while the final holes present a greater challenge. With strategically sculpted bunkers, numerous water hazards, and thoughtful landscaping, the course offers a varied and exciting experience. The fairways are generous, meaning that less-than-perfect shots are generally forgiving; however, when the wind picks up, golfers must be quite precise to land their shots on the greens, which are well-guarded by bunkers and rough. Five lakes have also been integrated into the layout.
The driving range is exceptionally large—significantly bigger than those found at many other golf courses—with enough space for 200 players to practice simultaneously. The “Golfodrom” features a 300-meter diameter, providing an inviting space for practice, with 10 teeing areas that can accommodate groups of up to 12 players. Those looking to refine their short game can take advantage of a large pitch-and-chip area, which includes seven distinct practice zones. This facility—the largest of its kind in the Balearic Islands—is rounded out by a 2,000-square-meter putting green.
The resort grounds also feature a restaurant with a large panoramic terrace. Those who wish to stay longer can, of course, lodge at Hacienda Son Antem.
