ON THE EAST COAST OF MALLORCA

Located in the municipality of Felanitx, close to the towns of Porto Colom and Cala d’Or—two of the most beautiful places on Mallorca’s east coast—you will find the Vall d’Or Golf course.

This beautifully situated golf course lies just 68 kilometres from the island’s capital, Palma, and is characterised by its exciting and highly varied design. Experts consider it a medium-difficulty course. Far from mass tourism, even golfers with higher handicaps can achieve very good results here.

In 1986, Californian architect Bradford Benz impressively integrated the first nine holes into the natural terrain. Holes one to nine run through predominantly hilly fairways, surrounded by olive and almond trees as well as pine forests. As a result, the landscape is quite undulating and mountainous.

In 1993, the second part of the golf course was constructed. This section features a more open and less rugged landscape, offering a clear contrast to the first part of the course.

In this area, wide and open fairways slope gently towards the sea. On hole 18, a 180-metre par 3, golfers can tee off directly towards the clubhouse. Vall d’Or Golf is an 18-hole, par-71 course with a total length of 5,538 metres. The course features several well-protected greens, some of which can only be reached after successfully navigating strategically placed bunkers.

Of course, Vall d’Or Golf also offers a driving range. Golfers can practise over a distance of 200 metres from 18 teeing areas. Sand bunkers, putting greens and approach areas add variety to the practice facilities, which also include a ball dispenser.

Golfers enjoy playing in a spectacular natural setting, where a gentle sea breeze provides a refreshing atmosphere while putting. Many players even manage to score the occasional hole-in-one.
